Pictures

You can insert pictures into your document at any time. You can choose whether to embed the graphic directly in the body text or to insert it in a freely movable "frame":

Inserting pictures into the text

You can insert pictures directly into the body text by choosing the ribbon command Insert | Objects group | Picture. To do so, click on the small arrow of the icon and disable Insert as frame check_box_empty in the dropdown menu.
TextMaker treats a picture that has been inserted with this command as if it were a letter within the text. It becomes part of the body text. Thus, if you type something right in front of the picture, it will be pushed forward like a letter in order to accommodate the text.

Inserting picture frames

Alternatively, pictures can be inserted in the form of picture frames via the ribbon command Insert | group Objects | Picture. To do so, click on the small arrow of the icon and enable Insert as frame check_box_crossed in the dropdown menu.
By default, picture frames are anchored at fixed positions on the page – thus they do not move when text is added or deleted above them. Of course, you can move picture frames at any time.

This chapter covers only the insertion of pictures directly into the text. For more information about picture frames, see Frames and drawings.
