Choosing a different dictionary for a language

If you have multiple dictionaries installed for a language (for example, a SoftMaker dictionary and a Hunspell dictionary), you can always choose which of these dictionaries to use for that language.

To do so, proceed as follows:

1.Choose the ribbon command File | Options options_icon for the dialog box and switch to the Language tab.
2.Click on the Hunspell dictionaries button.
The program displays a dialog box with the list of all installed languages. On the right side of the list, you can see what type of dictionary the respective language is currently using.
3.Select the desired language from this list.
4.Then specify the dictionary to be used for the selected language in the dropdown list Dictionary.
Depending on which dictionaries are installed, the list may have the following entries:
SoftMaker: The SoftMaker dictionary included in SoftMaker Office
Hunspell: Freely downloadable Hunspell dictionary, see previous section
5.Confirm with OK.

From now on, the spell check will use the selected dictionary for the specified language.
