Syntax:
IMNEG(ComplexNumber)
Description:
Returns the negative of a complex number.
ComplexNumber must be a complex number in x+yi or x+yj format. Tip: Complex numbers can be created with the COMPLEX function.
Example:
IMNEG("2+4i") returns -2-4i
Compatibility notes:
This function is not supported by Microsoft Excel. If you save a document in Excel format, all calculations using this function will be replaced by their last result as a fixed value.
Tip: As an alternative to IMNEG(A1) the following calculation can be used:
COMPLEX(-IMREAL(A1), -IMAGINARY(A1))
