Presentations contains sophisticated language tools consisting of a spell check, hyphenation and a thesaurus. (Depending on your chosen language, you may have only the hyphenation feature, or the hyphenation and spell check features.)
This chapter provides a comprehensive introduction to all available language tools. It consists of the following sections:
▪Setting the language

▪Spell check
| The spell check checks a document's text for typos and suggests corrections in the event of errors. |
▪Hyphenation
| When you enable it, the hyphenation feature automatically hyphenates long words (according to their spoken syllables) at the ends of lines. |
▪Auto correction
| With Auto correction, you can have Presentations automatically correct typical careless mistakes when entering text – for example, if you often type "yuo" instead of "you". In addition, you will find many other useful auto correct functions here. |
▪SmartText
| You can use SmartText to define abbreviations for frequently used phrases – for example, "sd" for "sales department". |
▪Thesaurus
| The large thesaurus integrated into Presentations shows you synonyms (words of the same or related meaning) for a word. Thesauri are also available for many foreign languages. |
▪Research
| Only available in SoftMaker Office Professional and NX Universal: Look up terms on research platforms on the Internet (Wikipedia, Oxford dictionary, Cambridge dictionary, etc.) directly from the document. |
▪SmartChat
| Only available NX Universal: Create AI-based texts and pictures in Presentations. |
