Changing placeholder properties

To change the properties of a placeholder, select it by clicking on its border.

Then select your preferred path (ribbon commands or dialog box) from the following options for editing it:

If you want to edit the placeholder directly via the ribbon buttons, switch to the contextual ribbon tab that appears as a tab on the far right as soon as a placeholder is selected. You will find numerous commands intuitively arranged here, but some additional options can only be accessed via the dialog box (see below).

The options of the displayed ribbon tab depend on the content of the placeholder. For more information on each option, see the following sections:

If you would prefer to edit the placeholder via the dialog box, right-click to open the context menu and select the last entry Properties.
