Grouping objects

When you group several objects, you combine them into a unit that can be selected and manipulated like a single object.

In practice, this means the following: If you select an object that belongs to a group, the entire group is always selected. If you move this object, all objects in the group are also moved.

Grouping also prevents related objects from being inadvertently moved against each other with the mouse.

To group objects, proceed as follows:

1.Select the objects to be grouped.

Note: To do so, click on the objects successively while holding down the Shift keyñ or drag a rectangle around all objects to be selected (without placeholders) while holding down the mouse button.

2.Click on the Group icon group_objects_icon (in the group Objects) on the object-specific ribbon tab, or right-click the selected objects to open the context menu and choose the command Group to group the objects.

Ungrouping objects

To ungroup objects, proceed as follows:

1.Select the group by clicking on one of the objects in it.
2.Click on the Group icon group_objects_icon again or choose the command Ungroup via the context menu.
