Sometimes, you want to do more than just find a search term, but you also want to replace it with another term. The ribbon command Home | Replace (in the Search group) is used for this purpose.
Proceed as follows:
1. | If you want to limit the search to a specific cell range, select the cell range first. If nothing is selected, the entire worksheet will be searched. |
2. | Choose the ribbon command Home | Replace . |
3. | Under Search for:, enter the search term. |
4. | Under Replace with, enter the term that is to replace the search term. |
6. | Click on the Search button to start the search. |
PlanMaker scans the document for the search term and highlights the first cell that contains it.
You now have the following options:
A. | You can click on Replace, whereupon the search term is replaced with the replacement term and PlanMaker jumps to the next occurrence of the search term. |
B. | You can click on Search again, whereupon PlanMaker jumps to the next occurrence of the search term – without replacing the term. |
C. | You can click on Replace all, whereupon PlanMaker replaces all occurrences of the search term. |
D. | You can close the dialog box by choosing Close. |
