Working with selections

This chapter marks the beginning of the reference section of the manual. This part of the manual provides detailed descriptions of all of TextMaker's functions organized into chapters by subject matter, as is customary in a reference book.

The first chapter in the reference section is about working with selections. If you want to delete, copy or move a part of a document, you must first select the relevant section of text. This also applies to objects (pictures, drawings, etc.).

In addition, you must first select the relevant section of text before you can apply certain commands that will change its formatting. If, for example, you select one word and then select a different font, only that word will be formatted in the different font.

The following pages provide detailed information on working with selections. The following topics are covered:

Selecting text and objects

Moving, deleting and copying

Paste (special)

Inserting a document
