Then make the desired changes to the document as usual. You can change, delete and add text, change the formatting, etc.
The document can still be edited exactly as if the "Track changes" function did not exist at all. There is only one important difference: Any changes you make now will be indicated as follows by default:
▪When you add text, it is colored and underlined in the document.
▪When you delete text, it is colored and struck through in the document.
▪When you change the formatting of text, it is colored in the document.
In addition, a vertical line appears in the left margin beside each line that contains a change, indicating that a change was made at that point.
Note: You can customize the default behavior described above (how the various change actions are indicated) according to your needs. For example, deleted text and text with changed formatting can be displayed in a separate Comments pane to the right of the document. For more information, see Settings for the Track changes function.
